A medium sized auditing firm based in Bryanston has an exciting opportunity for a young dynamic and vibrant Assistant to Audit Managers. The firm is not your ordinary setup and strives to develop young competent professionals. They are aiming for exponential growth, allowing the incumbent to work with the Directors to ensure client satisfaction.

 

Minimum Requirements

Matric/Grade 12

BCom (Degree/Diploma) in Accounting

2 years’ experience in similar role

SAIPA/SAICA/ACCA Articles

Must have excellent computer skills including outlook, excel, and word and Caseware.

Basic external audit knowledge

Knowledge of IFRS for SME’s

Basic knowledge of VAT and Income Tax

Must have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

Excellent communication etiquette with clients

Detail oriented and organised

Must take initiative and be self-driven

Be able to take accountability and deadline driven

Ability to plan and work under pressure

Must be well presented and well-spoken

Work hours are 7:00 – 16:00 / 8:00 – 17:00

The incumbent’s responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to:

The preparation and review of financial statements in Caseware

Preparation of budgets for audit and related engagements

Liaising with clients and staff

Assisting with all-round support to the audit teams and managers

Planning of jobs and related staff

Work in progress management

Back up to the team on smaller engagements incl. Compilations and Independent Reviews.

Assisting audit teams and managers with administrative and compliance duties, incl. lockdown of audit files etc.

 

Remuneration & benefits

Market related CTC (R20k - R24k)
