Sales Manager: Corporate Sales (JB194)
R60 000 – R62 500 per month
Position the sales function of the area (B2B) within the overall sales objectives. The Sales Manager will aggressively drive B2B sales by establishing contacts, developing relationships and identifying solutions for corporate clients, to produce new revenue in accordance with the strategic objectives.
Ultimately, the Sales Manager has to manage, coordinate, align and integrate B2B sales processes, channels, products and services to meet corporate customers’ needs.
Experience in managing multiple and diverse B2B accounts.
At least 5 years working experience within a corporate sales (B2B) environment with an additional 3-years managerial experience in a similar, target driven environment.
Sales of ‘intangible’ products and services.
Presentation at board level.
Project management experience.
Proven experience in people management.
A relevant B-Degree or equivalent qualification is required.
The prospective manager must be prepared to work flexible hours to ensure that strict deadlines are met.
Own transport is essential.
To implement and manage a comprehensive B2B sales strategy with the support of other divisions and business units.
To research and analyze potential prospects and sales options.
To manage, achieve and maintain the B2B revenue budget and develop departmental business plans.
To manage sales teams (B2B) in order to ensure that monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets are achieved.
Meet individual sales targets.
Mentor, coach, train, motivate and monitor sales staff to ensure that sales targets are achieved and exceeded.
To generate sales and activity reports and timeously submitting these reports.
Together with the Commercial Executive, identify new markets /industries and the innovation of appropriate offerings together with the relevant business units and thereafter implementation of sales plans to capture new business.
To monitor B2B profitability and growth within the commercial division. To ensure delivery of targeted sales plans through consistently monitoring sales performance and installing corrective actions when needed to reach target. Ongoing performance management; identifying and managing training needs in order to meet strategic sales objectives, as well identifying and resolving performance-related problems.
Increase sales effectiveness using information such as conversion rates, introducing incentive initiatives etc.
Investigate changes and developments in the market and proposing innovative business alternatives to increasing revenue
To enhance current market share through researching trends with a view to increasing sales penetration.
Investigate competitor activity to assist in developing counter strategies.
To negotiate and coordinate with other divisional heads to align B2B sales activities with objectives of relevant division(s).
Monitor consumer preferences to determine focus of sales efforts.
To implement CRM principles that will improve B2B sales levels
Set and maintain business rules within the Commercial (B2B) environment.
To identify and convert business opportunities, strengthen market capabilities and corporate relationships.
Any other related duties as required by the Commercial Executive.
Sound knowledge of B2B sales processes and new business development that will support and optimize B2B sales processes.
An in-depth knowledge and understanding of B2B sales, marketing and product/services delivery in a corporate business context of the customer services industry. This should be supported by a good track record in effective management of the sales, marketing and delivery operations of a market segment.
Computer knowledge working with Ms Word, Ms Excel, Ms Outlook and MS Project is required.
Possess industry, market and customer knowledge.
The incumbent will be expected to have proven competency in industrial relations, with a broad but specific knowledge of current employment law.
Financial and analytical understanding that may be applied to strategic departmental business planning and budgeting is required.
Sound understanding and knowledge of high-level, complex negotiations.
Organizing and understanding the administration processes to achieve excellent customer service levels, is an essential requirement to be a success in this position.
An understanding of basic human resources functions, such as recruitment, coaching and motivation, training, reward and recognition, retention of staff, etc., is an essential capability for this position.
