Sage Sales Support Consultant
General roles & responsibility.
To provide technical/project consultancy in support of sales at client meetings and on conference calls . To discuss , capture and define customer requirements . To work with the team to exploit the commercial opportunities for the omni africa range of products.
Responsible for pre-sales project management from requirement capture and design to imlementation handover . Working closely with members of the of the delivery , support and success management team to ensure delivery on time , to specification and within budget
Through interface and discussion to capture customer requirements and present the relevant technical solution at customer visits , presentations and other follow up meetings
Where relevant to identify key revenue generating opportunities for products and services to customers either direct or through the sales team for the financial benefit of the company
To write technical requirement specifications which meet customer requirements and translate these accuately to the delivery and development team other in Omni Africa and/or suppliers for implementation
To act as the project manager for projects focused on delivering non standard applications or solutions , ensuring projects are delivered on time , to the agreed specisfication and within budget
To update all parties on progress on a regular and preagreed project basis
Where required –to review technology /service offering /products with internal and external parties as part of any evaluation or development process
To write technical requirement specifications which meet customer requirements and translate these accurately to the sales team/delivery team /success management team in omni Africa for quotation, component ordering and successful delivery mechanism
Develop and maintain a product proficiency and competency level by attending mandatory training classes and successfully completing required levels of competency
When required to construct and deliver training that ensures the teams understand and use Omni africa technologies to the required level necessary
Ensure clear adherance to a technical pre-sales qualification process to ensure correct levelling and placement of opportunity leading to accurate quotation and excellent customer experience
Report daily to the business manager on presales progress and sales development including progress and management against tagets
Handle straightforward problems that occur in everyday work
Refer more complex problems or decisions to seniors
Make routine decisions within established guidelines
Complete any other tasks that may be reasonably required from time to time.
