- General Ledger maintenance
- Overview and review of all internal controls on a periodic basis to ensure continued effectiveness and suggest changes for improvement
- Daily liaison with staff of Financial Department to identify potential issues and take preventative actions
- Ensure Financial Department’s timeous processing of their daily tasks
- Reconciliation of all Balance Sheet accounts to identify possible processing issues.
- Preparing of monthly management accounts (and other reports as requested) in accordance with IFRS for SME’s timeously for bank, management and other external users.
- Develop and implement quarterly cash flow forecasts with comparisons to actuals
- Develop and implement quarterly budgets and forecasts with comparisons to actuals
- Liaise with external auditors for annual audits and other financial statement and statutory requirements
- Providing monthly management accounts per Branch and company as a whole
- Fixed Asset Register maintenance
- Review monthly recons (Creditors & Debtors)
- Review and analysing Manufacturing cost
- Weekly feedback to Management on Finance Department
- Assist Finance Department staff
- Review of key financial ratios (GP %, return on Asset)
- Capital budgeting and sources of finance
