Head: Business Analysis

ROLE PURPOSE

Lead a group of business analysts to deliver

  • Quality business architecture reference artefacts
  • Quality and well aligned business analysis outputs and artefacts
  • The required delivery content leadership and direction in the context of the solution, area or team that they are allocated to.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES AND WORK OUTPUTS

Leadership and general management:

  • Business analysis alignment to other communities of practice
  • Build relationships internal and eternally
  • Aligning projects / initiatives to the organization’s strategic objectives
  • Business case and project schedule interrogation and alignment
  • Drive consistent and quality delivery across teams
  • Foster an agile and innovative delivery culture
  • Lead, communicate and demonstrate our team vision, purpose and principles

Resource vendor management:

  • Sourcing of quality vendors
  • Manage vendor relationships
  • Fee negotiations and resource planning

Financial management:

  • Planning and budgeting
  • Active expense management with a 12-month rolling forecast
  • Tracking and reporting of investment per project / initiative

People Management:

  • Recruitment of quality people
  • Pipeline management of potential candidates
  • Developing the business analysis community of practice in terms of skills and best practice
  • Career development planning
  • Personal coaching and growth
  • Performance management
  • Remuneration and rewards review

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Relevant leadership and management experience – minimum 5 years
  • Business architecture and analysis experience on an enterprise level
  • Thorough understanding and experience in practicing business architecture and analysis in an agile delivery environment
  • Basic experience in agile delivery at scale
